Kat Shehata is a New York Times bestselling author—with the help of a psychic.

After teaming up with world-renowned psychic Sylvia Browne, Kat co-wrote and published Animals on the Other Side, which became a New York Times bestseller. 

Kat’s writing career took a romantic turn when a story about a homicide detective and a woman who knows too much refused to let go. That story became the Drawn to Death series—gripping romantic suspense novels that blend murder investigations with high-stakes emotional tension.

Her work has earned two Benjamin Franklin Awards and the Killer Nashville Claymore Award for Best Suspense.

Kat holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre from Wilmington College, a professional writing certificate from the University of Cincinnati, and an MFA in Writing from Spalding University. She splits her time between Cincinnati, Ohio, and Boca Raton, Florida, where she is always working on her next story.
